We are hiring for the position of EXECUTIVE - TRADE OPERATIONS with contract working hours for our company office, IFFCO SINGAPORE PTE LTD, for residents of Downtown Core and its neighboring areas.
Candidates with expertise in Services & Logistics/Supply Chain and at least a Diploma & Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or higher are highly needed. Job Responsibilities:
Trade Operations:
- Handling documentation pertaining to shipment-based on LC and/or other credit terms
- Compliance checks of LC and shipping documents
- Getting all required documents attested from relevant authorities / ministries/ Chamber of Commerce
- Preparing Certificate of Origin, customs / insurance declaration
- Coordinating with buyers for document operations
- Preparing LC, freight and insurance drafts
- Completing paperwork for acquiring certifications / lab tests reports and other necessary documents for shipments
- Ensuring timely submission, status tracking of all shipping documents and preparing necessary reports
- Working closely with logistics / shipping companies or agents for scheduling
- Maintain a proper filing system of all shipment documents
- Prepare and circulate trade utilization report
- Any other ad-hoc matters as assigned by the Company
To provide cover for Trade Finance department:
- Maintain excel cash book (in shared folder) for IFFCO Singapore & updating of loans / borrowings in Oracle
- Maintaining working relationships with banks pertaining to all export procedures and documents
- Follow up for collection on shipments
- Update finance charge accruals in Oracle
- Any other ad-hoc matters as assigned by the Company
Job requirements:
- 2 – 3 years of functional experience in logistics, preferably in bulk shipments
- Diploma in Commerce/Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent
- Basic accounting experience – mandatory
- Export/Import documentation knowledge – mandatory
- Working knowledge of CXC (Contra Xcentral) – highly desirable
- Working knowledge of Oracle – highly desirable
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role.
