Job Description
Yale-NUS College is a highly selective liberal arts and science college in Singapore. Co-founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore, the College is committed to excellence in research and teaching in a full residential programme that integrates living and learning. Its curriculum educates students in Asian and Western intellectual traditions as well as current scientific thought.
The College seeks to hire 1 full-time Lecturer in Life Sciences. Preferred field of specialization are population genetics, comparative physiology, genomics, bioinformatics, and molecular genetics. This position is on a fixed term contract of 1 year with the possibility of renewal for one more semester, starting in the Academic Year 2023-2024.
The successful candidate is expected teach at least five (5) courses, which will be the area of the Life Sciences Major. Advising students and other services will also be required as needed.
The College offer competitive salaries that are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications
- PhD in Life Sciences from a regionally or internationally accredited institution
- At least two (2) years of undergraduate teaching experience
- Prior experience in teaching computational biology and human physiology
- Prior experience in teaching and advising at a liberal arts college is strongly preferred
