As one of Singapore’s largest pet supplies retailers, we are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to oversee the operations of our warehouse, supervising the receipt, dispatching and the storage of goods in the warehouse. The warehouse manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions. You will oversee, train and evaluate staff. You will ensure the maintenance of company assets. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.
To ensure success, you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Top applicants are dedicated, competent and have strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
- Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
Requirements:
- 3+ years of warehouse management experience.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
- Valid drivers’ license, preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people skills.
- Available to work extended hours when required.
