Role:

The Project Engineer will be responsible to:

• Ensure and carry-out all necessary work mainly at a dedicated project site. Example attend daily toolbox meeting, site coordination with customer, consultant, end-user, site safety team, sub-contractors and others stakeholder.
• Ensure continuity between offer and execution of the contract.
• Lead the Initiating, Planning, Monitoring & Controlling, Executing and closing of the project phase.
• Ensure optimal balance between quality, schedule and profitability of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure continuity between offer and execution of the contract

• Perform site survey for new enquiry and evaluate technical and commercial possibility
• Check tender specification compliance
• Look out for discrepancies between initial offer and final version of contract – propose amendments and solutions

Lead the Initiating, Planning, Monitoring & Controlling, Executing and Closing of the project phase

• Develop Project Charter and Stakeholder identification.
• Collection of requirement, define scope and create WBS.
• Set up schedule, define sequence of activities and identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
• Direct and manage day-to-day operational aspects of project execution phase.
• Monitoring and take Control of project work, cost, resources and Quality control.
• Review deliverables (hardware and documentation) before handing them onto customer.

Ensure optimal balance between technical quality, schedule and profitability of the project

• Perform weekly internal and external reporting on project completion (progress review)
• Negotiate through procurement department appropriate commercial terms & conditions with suppliers
• Ensure compliance with local requirement of standards.
• Manage and monitoring subcontractors on site work.
• Track and report team working hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
• Manage and cost control of project budget.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalents.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in similar industry.
• Able to multi-task projects and work independently.
• Willing to learn and have good attitude and communication skills.
• Proactive, meticulous and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Preferred someone who can start within short notice
• Willing to work beyond office hours to ensure on-time work completion
• Eligible for Overtime Rates
• Able to manage stress condition on site
• Prefer those with M&E experience
• Project Management Skill: Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with project schedules and quality
• Site Assessment and Analysis Skill: Conduct site assessments to ascertain site conditions and evaluate sites based on set parameters
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Tailor communication approaches to audience needs and determine suitable methods to convey and exchange information
• Problem Solving Skills: Determine underlying causes of problems and collaborate with other stakeholders to implement and evaluate solution
• Decision Making Skills: Follow processes to make decisions which achieve intended goals using given information and guidelines
• Stakeholder Management Skill: Maintain working level relationships to support project implementation activities and foster partnerships
